Description

Passtech Smart Parcel Locker system is designed to provide an easy and convenient way of parcel delivery locker lock system that enables a parcel recipient to unlock parcel locker with his/her BLE enabled smartphone. It’s a 24/7 solution with online monitoring and remote control via software that helps to ensure parcel’s protection until the recipient reaches it. Owing to the system’s user-friendly interface, a recipient can simply unlock a locker by scanning smartphone on front face of lock by default or by manually entering 6-digit PIN as an option.

How it works

1) System Configuration 1 (Smartphone number entry by manual)
  • Freight Prepaid
    (1) Delivery gets started
    (2) Delivery man locks parcel locker by manually entering recipient’s smartphone number via keypad on lock
    (3) Delivery man sends the locker ID to parcel recipient by text message or email.
    (4) Upon receiving a text message from delivery man, a parcel recipient can open that parcel locker by scanning his/her BLE enabled smartphone on the front face of locker lock.
2) System configuration 2 (Smartphone number entry by mobile App)
  • Freight-Collect-(optional)
  • To eliminate and minimize human error while manually entering recipient’s smartphone number via keypad on lock, Passtech is providing a mobile App that sends recipient’s smartphone number to locker lock via BLE communication and also enables delivery man to re-confirm parcel recipient’s smartphone number before he locks parcel locker.
  • (1) Delivery gets started
    (2) Delivery man locks parcel locker by entering a recipient’s smartphone number via mobile App.
    (3) Delivery man sends the locker ID to parcel recipient by text message or email via mobile App.
    (4) Upon receiving a text message from delivery man, a parcel recipient can open that parcel locker not only by scanning his/her BLE enabled smartphone to the front face of locker lock, but also by manually entering his/her smartphone number via keypad on lock.

Option 1(Authentication of delivery man’s ID)
A delivery man should enter his/her ID when he starts up Passtech mobile App for the first time for authentication purpose and then mobile App requests the authentication of delivery man’s ID to authentication server that will be maintained by customer side.

Option 2(Freight Collect)
Above configuration 1 & 2 are for freight prepaid and, in case of freight collect, a delivery man locks parcel locker by Passtech mobile App and sends parcel delivery details (Tracking number, locker ID) to customer’s server instead of directly sending to recipient and then delivery server requests a parcel recipient to pay off freight charge. If payment is confirmed, delivery server sends text message or email including locker ID & PIN to parcel recipient.
Upon receiving text message or email, parcel recipient can open that locker not only by entering his/her smartphone number via keypad on lock but, also by mobile App via BLE communication.
